This is how the cargo part of my van looks like.I too had a pick-up truck in the past, but I sold it because it couldn't fit all of the gear so we had to select items before leaving. That usually resulted in not having with me what I needed to get the job done. I added a few racks and boxes and slings in this van. There were a lot of holes in the original structure for mounting things. I used those to attach loops of line and several items can be hung on those. When all gear is in place I can still add a 15 foot ladder (3 parts) on the floor or a small stump grinder or small chipper. The big chipper or trailer is towed. The aluminmum rach was custom made to size. Does cost a lot, but it sure keeps all the gear in place and it doens't get damaged during transport.

Out here, we don't have specialised trucks like you guys have, so we have to be inventive an design the needed specifications ourselves.
