Eric yes it is a good idea, and yes we should all expect very different outcomes from different individuals conducting the valuation. Maybe the best way would be to have a hypothetical tree (real species) with diagram rather than picture...as this will prove easier for everyone to follow? But.......if you already have one in mind then go ahead.

Most of the valuation methods attempt to define a base value for the particular tree (cubic metre) then multiply that by the total volume of the tree in question....now the base value can be derived in different ways depending on the specific method...and of course there are a list of additional factors that get added (or rather multiplied!) into the mix.
