I think you are refering to the square step stones. The homeowners have visitors often, and wanted them to be able to park and step onto a surface to keep their dress shoes from getting wet. That stone was sandstone. They liked that color because it matched stone on their house, but it is more fragile, and I told them to return and switch to another type if one cracked within a year.
