I can only say what people think here.

They're ugly, and they most often devalue the house. And we most often remove them when a new owner buys the house or the existing owners simply gets sick of the mess, maintenance and cost.

Palms do not grow out, they grow taller and less shade is cast. Dead fronds do not transpire or photosynthesize but offer a home to mainly possums, pigeons, cockroaches and rats here. All undesirables around your home.

The proximity to the retaining wall is not good, cant tell in that shot but I'd be saying trouble down the track.

Go to a good nursery and find some nice small trees, perhaps flowering ones suitable for that place. And maybe that one on the right hand side can grow normal again instead of a ravine through it.

Also, the place needs something else, all that grass and lack of foliage is so .... boring.
