So you've got a bucket truck! That's great!

What do you do with it? I'm only asking because it seems you aren't familiar with spikes, and aren't familiar with specific trees.... sooo...what do you use it for?

As for spiking the palms... if we said "oh yeah, you can shove as many pieces of steel into a palm and cut it and make it look like crap and tear it to pieces and it'll all be okay... would you beleive me?

Of course spiking it will damage it (to some degree). But what is your intent? Do you need to take some dead fronds off? Do you have spikes? You obviously have a bucket truck. Do you know someone who was going to use spikes on it? What did they say about it? etc...
