Re: Redwoods: A "Must Read" I first visited the grove in 1969, my brother and I went with an old Indian guide and his grandson. We camped near there for three days while the old man did some sort of rites there. The last time I was there was in the early '80s, the grove was still pristine. Now we have yahoos, no matter how intentioned, climbing trees that are best left alone. The local story on the "discovers" is that they bought the directions, to write an article for the minor fame in it. It's only a matter of time before the GPS position is posted, and the grove will be trashed. I have seen similar things happen in the past, very depressing.
