Amazing about knives in Aus. I carry one of maybe 100 knives I own at any given time. I have a permit to carry a handgun in this state too (not that I do that often). Favorite knife is a razor sharp Kershaw folder. I can shave with it, it is so sharp. Never know when you need to cut something. I also use a center spring blade (switchblade that somes out the middle) when climbing; a one-handed knife. Learned that while mountain climbing (used to be in the Mazamas when I was younger).
