Without certs anywhere, prob would end up with an industry of predominantly tree "garbage removal companies"

Might not be an entirely bad idea to start some kind of a thread certification with relevant posts of a couple of hundred of posts for a year and have them board judged by the qualified arborists group. It wouldn t be so imidating as a real cert test and would serve to get the dude (or dudess) on their way to a life of learning.
