Default Re: A little help?

In my experience, though limited, the value of resistograph testing is questionable due to variation of readings from large hollows to severly decayed heartwood. I have seen trees condemned that could have remained for many years and trees deemed safe that have failed shortly thereafter. My opinion is resistograph is a useful tool, used in conjunction with educated and experienced Visual Tree Assessment, not a sole diagnostic tool or process in it's own right.
But I may be wrong!
