Seems I didn't post it yet, but here's a photo of a Catalpa limb that I removed an embedded vine from. Trumpet vine I think.
This is the same Catalpa I posted about months ago.
The vine had about a 7" diameter at it's base, and about 5" in this cavity it caused.
Sort of cool looking in a way.
The cross-cut is from a section a few feet off the ground. Seems that there were over 70 rings showing.
