I dont see anything wrong using mechanical devices and advantages in tree work.
There's people around who think you shouldn't even fell trees with trucks etc ... boohoo for them, inexperienced, panic ridden or simply got no idea about doing it. We actually did it as part of our course.
Oh, I suppose those people shouldn't use GRCS's or cranes either.
