HI GUYS,
I am new to this site but have learned so much in the few days that I have been a member. My question is how to become a certified arborist. I am 25 and live in Rochester NY U.S.A and own a landscape company. I was subcontracting all of my tree work to a local tree services that is owner operated. The owner is an excellent climber and has been teaching me how to climb (using gaffs/ spurs) for the past year. The only problem I have is that he is very set in his old and I guess hack ways, however I have gained amazing amounts of knowledge from him. I dont have time to go away to a school because I am to busy keeping three crews running and taking care of other jobs, but I want to be able to provide the best and correct service possible to my clients. I have purchased numerous books and continue to read as much as possible. Is their anything anyone can recomend espeacially hands on traing to assit me in my quest for further knowledge.
