Even after getting my 200T, I still prefer the 011 for some reason. Feels like it has more torque. The 028 became my almost-ready-to-retire backup saw.
I've got some poulans that were given to me that I'm trying to decide if I want to fix up or not. The big one is a 306 and the littler one is an 1800. Anyone ever used these? |
Therrin, never used those Poulans but years ago there was a small Poulan that was a great climbing saw (relatively). Back in the beginning of time (the hemp rope era, I am a dinosaur) we used to tie Homelite super xl s into the tree with a climbing line and climbing knot (no small saws) and advance it sideways or down with on the rope (a trick that could be used today with an 088 etc.). Then came Mccullough Power Mac 6 s for many years, then Stihl 015 s and then Poulan and a few others were tried. Then the 020 then 020T, the best climbing saw by far ever produced (now called MS200). This saw was designed by Arborists. I know one large company they solicited input toward the design of it.
