I forget what size bar you said you got with the 361. If you are cutting mostly pine and fir, I would suggest a 20 and 24 inch bar pairing. The 18 is a tad small for firs here, and I now tend to run my 361 more with the new 24 inch and the 20 inch from my 290, and run the 16 or 18 inch bars on the 290 (a change from my previous use model).

Also note that your 361 will get better after 12 or so tanks of gas, as the rings seat into the cylinder walls and a little carbon increases the compression a tad. I think that the GB Pro Top bars are about the same price as the ES bars. Around here they are anyway. Someone is selling GB PT bars on Ebay stores for a fairly good price with chains. Maybe a a better deal online without having to pay CA sales tax?
