I think the two of you have hit the nail on the head. If two lines were advanced up the trunk and use 1 for a foot loop, whilst you were advancing your prussik'd line, you stay foot looped and choke off with crossed over flip line. Check in to prussik'd line then advance your foot loop. And so on.
