But considering that this was such a prolonged and well-planned campaign, it really makes sense to dish-out the punishment on it's own merit.
It's really not comparable to anything else.

I'd say a lot. But I'd change the sentence to require the guy to supply one day's labor, to all the nurseries and landscapers who sign up on a list, for a number of years.
Everybody gets to sign up, and they guy only gets supported by the jail system.
That way he works off the debt, and puts enough labor in to counter-act the damage. |
