AS is OK in fact, I reckon, no BS aside, it is the most "liberal" forum out there.
Liberal in the sense of unconstrained, free.
What I like about it is this.
It has huge membership, somewhere around 18K members.
It tolerates the likes of Sap and Axeknot
(and me occasionally except when JPS infractions me).
It lets things run it's course to a certain degree. I tested many threads on other forums and they got pulled, I got banned etc but AS is open minded.
Also, AS is not owned by some org, in the pocket of some org, dictated by some org or wannabe tree hack. It's a site predominantly American and I hope it stays number one because of its independance, it's free will and business acumen.
No, I wasn't paid enough for this post.
Sterility, over abundance of nerds, control freaks and the like are kept at bay over there by a natural balance. I like that.
At the end of the day we are but people, who have daily work pressures, family pressures, business pressures etc and it's nice to have sites where you're comfortable.
I hope some day this place will be as large and frankly as well moderated. I have seen first hand what happens elsewhere, what some "know alls" are capable of
(idiocy) and what some freaks and power mongers attempt.
Hmmm, yep, I'm done now.
