Nice Oaks...
I'm just finishing up a removal on a Quercus chrysolepis, affectionately known as a Heritage oak around here. Makin a good bit on turn around with the wood. It's "well seasoned" ;-) (what the rest of us call "dead")
Noticed that if you inhale much of the bark powder sent up by that dead bark, it'll have you coughin like mad. Makes it feel like someones squeezing your chest and makes you salivate... Nasty stuff.
I'm certain to wear a dust mask when I finish it off tomorow.
Ever encountered anything like that? Parts of it were rotten so I wasn't sure if the junk had fungus on it. Sounded icky, thought I'd not breathe anymore of it
