Re: Speedlining Yes, you have the picture right. The end of the speedline was tied into a tree to be
taken down at about 20-25 feet. So alot of the force of the falling limb were taken
on the ground about 6 feet from the tree. What do you estimate the weight on the
half inch rope was at it's most stressed point, using 200 pounds for the weight of the
limb? My thoughts were that it was going to take the most stress on the rope within
the first 3-4 feet. I think Jim1's comment was spot on. Each situation is different and
if you have a basic knowledge of physics, you'll do OK most of the time. |
