Default Re: portaledging trees

Hi B-Rad,
A Grammicci ledge is for sale for US $300., plus shipping. Another ledge has sold, and the US Post Office took almost two weeks to deliver it in country. If I sell this one, the proceeds from both will allow aquisition of a double wide from a local rock shop in Seattle.

Oh, OK, as to your question, the best feature of a ledge is that a single suspension point is all that is required. Compared to the Treeboat, which hangs from both ends, the ledge can be put in more places within the tree, although this point can be argued. The ingenuity required to set up is actually the funnest part, since there is actually something to DO, when rec climbing.

The ledge is self leveling, as opposed to the boat. Another perspective is that the ledge is less stable, flopping around under a pivot. Depends how you look at it.

ENJOY !
