They are all sound arguements,
But lets take it one step further.
If we have no qualms about buying cheap stuff offshore and not supporting our local economy.
Then it should follow that we can't complain when our neighbours use cheap offshore labour ( islanders ) to cut down their tree, instead of using their local bloke,
