Spoke to a Stihl rep today and asked him why our saws are so dear compared with the ones in the US.

He gave three reasons ,(excuses)

1. The Aus Dollar has only recently gone up against the US, there is a lag time.

2. Aus only represents 2% of the world market (implying we don't have the volume)

3. The Aus dollar has only gone up against the US dollar not the Euro, (german) currency

make of it what you will I still think we pay to much
