I use Samson ropes and give them the thumbs up.

However their toughest rope is tenex and 1" dia is 20,000kg breaking.

The equivalent in newer high tech fibre for that dia such as plasma is 50,000kg.

There's a whole new breed of high tech ropes and fibre out way stronger than tenex.

Lopa's after these to replace steel cable as they are stronger than steel. Samson doesn't do these ropes yet.

The yachting guy I go to for some rope splicing etc uses these newer ropes to replace the cable used on the masts etc.
