Default Re: SCAM A Million Trees For The Amazon Rainforest SCAM

Did you all know over 80% of the AMAZON rainforest is still there!

This is a cash cow for greenies and scammers.

Also this plot they are reforesting doesn't even represent a drop in the ocean compared to the scale of clearing.

Also the plot is private which means you are funding a private enterprise, yes a business or simply their place!

If we were to look at deforestation in Australia we have taken HALF OF THE VEGETATION but lets globally jump on the Amazon and deny them the same economic opportunities pertaining to industrialization and farming.

If the rest of the world thinks the Amazon should stay in tact for their benefit then they should be paying the govt over there a lot of money to not clear and the people can have money for doing nothing. There is a lot more going on here than meets a few "greenie" eyes.

Have an open mind and ask questions.

So for example America makes 25% of the world's CO2 why dont they then pay for retention of the Amazon etc ... they (Amazonians) like every other country have a resource and the right to sustain themselves economically. The argument, just like with African game etc is to what degree and how it should be managed ... all we hearis one side of the story not the other.

Dont forget Gunn's logging in Tasmania is building a $1.7billion plant for timber processing.

Quote:
But the state timber agency also disclosed that up to 500,000 tonnes of public old-growth forests would still be exported from the state each year as woodchips, despite construction of the mill. Forestry Tasmania's chief executive, Bob Gordon, said yesterday that Gunns would begin by paying $13.75 a tonne from January 1 2008 for the wood.
Gunns and Forestry Tasmania agree on logging - National - theage.com.au

And the good old Google map The Wilderness Society - Tasmania's devastating logging practices exposed

So, this is utter BS in the grand scheme of things, A SCAM!
