| Re: Have Sherrill's copied the Harrison rocket? You decide. Reply from Tobe Sherrill Quote:
Hello Guys,
FYI, SherrillTree is not a manufacturer like the chipper companies refered to above, or apparel, or soda makers, or the many manufacturers involved in mimicking proven trends or formulas. We are primarily a reseller of made goods, although we sometimes get involved in branding good ideas or moving an idea into our market first.
Several months ago I found out that Weaver was delivering this throw weight design to a dealer in Germany and that the weight would soon be available in the US (Weaver-reported). As a big fan of the Harrison Rocket (not so much of the price and transportation issues) I elected to switch all future inventory over to the product ASAP, but first I wanted to test it. In doing so I discovered that it needed modification, and for that, Weaver was thankful. Within 6 weeks the product was far more durable than first released (Let's keep this part between Americans).
We didn't contract Weaver or even suggest that they make this product, please feel free to confirm that with them. Would SherrillTree have done this on our own? Eventually i'm sure. Would we have paid Andrew a commission? If he supported the effort, absolutely. About 2 years ago he wasn't keen on the idea even though he had no patent or claim otherwise, and without patent protection such fees are... quite unusual. Name a product where we've done this before? Most recently- the Falteimer Cube, we volunteered a fee even though no patent exists in the US.
Just thought the "truth seekers" would care to know.
Be safe.
