I dont like Ford's much either.
Hey, we got a 91 Camry, whole family went to Bundy and car got 43mpg ... gets like close to 30mpg around town, friggin little ripper.
Had a EA Falcon, biggest POS I ever owned, drank like a fish and broke down a lot, shitbox! I swore after that shitbox I'd never own a Ford again ... I had following fords in my life, XW, XA, XC and EA. The XA was a 351
Also had VB commodore 4.2 and VH 5.0 ... handle nice those commodores but I did think the V8's were gutless.
Fastest car owned, 4.0 hotted Centura.
Holly 465 mechanical secondarys with E49 head (shved 100 thou off!) polished and match ported to manifolds with headers, 2.5" exhaust with turbo muffler. Could
stand still and spin the wheels 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears on bitumin no worries. Just couldn't steer the bastid!
Was a missile I'm telling you.
