And if they did poison them then they risk transferal to other trees via grafted roots.
But hey, we had smart guys who didn't poison them but ring barked them so they die and become a termite condo plus decayed roots over time allow them to fail anyway.
In other words, which ever way you look at it, it's a loss/waste of time and a hazard.
