Effer has a better power to weight ratio for where my lifts are. The boom is built from 1 piece of steel w/ 1 weld full length inside and out. I liked the design of the knuckles and other components. I felt they are stronger aand more durable. The manufactureing plant was impressive too.
They have a proven track record w/ the remote(available on the others too).
Past customers of Smith crane gave good reccommedations and history w/them. I worked with a couple tree companies that had them and tried a couple others out.
